What is Picasso and Vino?
Picasso and Vino offers a delightful experience through our art classes held in a relaxed social setting. Whether it’s a fun date night, a gathering with friends or family, or a chance to meet new people, our painting parties provide the perfect backdrop.
Our talented artists will guide you step by step through the featured painting, allowing you to explore your creative side and leave with a masterpiece that is uniquely yours.
Do I need to sign up in advance?
Since our art classes have limited seating and supplies, signing up in advance is a necessity. Reserving your spot online is highly recommended, but if you prefer, you can call us at 970-335-9042 to secure your space. We do accept walk-ins if space permits.
How long is a Picasso and Vino class?
Our painting parties typically last 2 hours, including at least one entertaining break. We also offer a few advanced classes that last 3 hours; these durations are clearly indicated on the calendar.
Where are the painting parties held?
Classes take place at our studio located at:
450 Lewis St A1 (one block over from Main)
Pagosa Springs, CO 81147
What do I wear?
We recommend wearing clothes that you wouldn't mind getting paint on. Dress comfortably, as we do provide smocks.
What time do I need to arrive for a painting party?
It's best to arrive 20-30 minutes before the class starts, allowing time to settle in and order drinks and snacks. We aim to start painting right at the beginning of class.
Do I need to bring my own painting supplies?
No, at Picasso and Vino, we provide all necessary materials, including acrylic paints, brushes, canvases, smocks, palettes, water jars, and easels.
Are children welcome?
While Picasso and Vino primarily caters to adults looking for a relaxing outing, children aged 9 and up are welcome in public painting parties when accompanied by an adult. Younger children may join private parties.
Can I bring food or snacks?
Picasso and Vino offers a selection of light snacks and appetizers, as well as beer and wine for purchase. For private parties, arrangements can be made for catering and special items.
Do I need any artistic experience?
No experience is required for our painting parties! Our artwork is designed to be accessible to everyone, and our artists are eager to provide personal assistance if needed. We want to ensure you leave with something you enjoyed creating.
Do I have to paint the featured painting?
We encourage our painters to follow their artistic instincts and change colors if they wish. Feel free to diverge from the featured painting; it’s all about your creativity! The instructor will be teaching the featured piece and will assist as time allows.
What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly request 24 hours’ notice for cancellations regarding our general public classes. To cancel, please call us at 970-335-9042. If a reservation is not canceled within this timeframe, we will charge the class fee. For private parties, a 2-week cancellation notice is required due to the booking of the instructor.
If I come with a group, can we sit together?
We will automatically seat your group together based on your reservation. If you’ve booked separately from others you wish to sit with, please contact us in advance via phone or email to ensure your party can sit together.
Can I book a private party?
